240 St George’s Terrace
Located in the heart of Perth’s CBD, 240 St George’s Terrace required a full lift interior modernisation to bring its vertical transportation experience in line with the building’s high quality commercial environment. Starting in early 2022, Dewhurst was engaged to remove the existing interiors and front walls and deliver a complete upgrade that blended strong aesthetics with long term durability. The project included the manufacture and installation of new electrostatic painted swing jamb style front walls with integrated car operating panels, complemented by mirror polished bronze stainless steel COPs on the side walls.

- The existing lift interiors and front walls required complete removal and replacement within an active commercial building.
- The design called for complex material combinations, including bronze stainless steel, stone and custom lighting treatments.
- Integrating new COPs into swing jamb style front walls required precise manufacturing and on site alignment.

Solutions
Dewhurst manufactured and installed new electrostatic painted swing jamb front walls, seamlessly integrating the car operating panels into the structure. This provided a clean, modern entrance and significantly improved the visual consistency of the lift fronts across the building.
Inside the lift car, we installed travertine stone wall panels, bronze glass mirrors and black powder coated handrails with downward illumination. These elements were designed to elevate both aesthetic quality and user comfort, creating a warm interior environment that aligns with the building’s commercial identity.
To complete the transformation, a mirror polished bronze stainless steel suspended ceiling was fitted, featuring warm white mini LED downlights and indirect lighting for a premium finish. The interior was grounded with large format dark grey tiles, producing a cohesive and sophisticated lift experience that enhances the overall character of 240 St George’s Terrace.
